  I have Travel Medevac to get me back to the States if needed. travelmedevac.com I would pay my initial hospitalization here in MX with credit card or my HSA card. Some US health ins. policies will reimburse Mexican health care bills. I doubt mine (VA) would but I'm not positive about that. You can get policies here in MX for travelers. I could rustle up a broker for you if interested.
