So I have a dilemma. My 1st-5th Elem school that I work in has double classes 3&1/2 days a week and they're a disaster. (Too many reasons to discuss). I want to propose alternating classes in the gym and classroom/outside on a weekly basis. I know my co-teacher will balk at this, so I am taking it directly to my Principals whom I have rapport with. (My co-worker IS one of the reasons I want to split classes.) Classes would be in the classroom from late October to early April. I'd like to bolster my presentation to Admin with a schedule of classroom lessons to be taught. I teach in a poor, inner city school district. I would need about 15 weeks of classroom lessons, up to 2 lessons per week in each topic, according to student ages. So far I have:
Hygeine
Nutrition and Food
Sports Fields and Courts
Sports Equipment
Muscles
Bones
Body Organs
Sports around the World
Dressing for the Weather
Speed Stacking
What else is possible to teach in a classroom for PE?
