  I'd look in the Alameda area of town. It's near downtown and a lot of established parks and the houses aren't too expensive here. What they call the "East Mesa" area is mostly out in the more shall we say desert area of town. Nice houses but a bit bigger and usually more expensive. If I may, I'd contact Zoe Spiliotis Aguirre. We used her as a realtor and she got us into the house we are in now. Not that this site isn't great, but a professional realtor will always know exactly what's for sale and when and will know all of the amenities. Please give her a try.. it's the best decision we ever made.
