He can no longer sleep upstairs with us as the only way to get him down is for my boyfriend to pick him up and bring him down. Our dog is very independent and HATES to be picked up. He's a 55lb. male Samoyed. Anyone know of a good, accredited in-home dog trainer that would come to our apartment to help give us guidance on how to help our dog conquer his fear of our stairs? It's just the stairs in our apartment and he's only afraid to go down. Going up our stairs is a breeze for him. We've already had him evaluated by a vet and have been trying the positive reinforcement route for days. Any other stairs he'll run up and down all day long.
