I am a licensed mental health counselor thinking about starting a private practice in hypnotherapy. Can anyone tell me how you structure your liability instance. For example, do I get liability insurance that covers counseling services (I.e. From the ACA) or do I need liability insurance that is specifically for hypnotherapy?

I would ask the professional association that you're affiliated with, first, but here are a few links you could check out. http://www.hypnotherapistsunion.org/ http://www.americanprofessional.com/hypnotism/ http://professionalliabilityinsurance.info/ http://www.hypnosis.edu/aha/insurance/

Hey all, I could use some guidance... I got my certification as a MH and I have some options for facilities, but none are with a certified ES. I am struggling to find general liability insurance. Any advice or suggestions?
