About us
At the age of 10 I got my first rescue dog Benji, a stubborn Golden Retriever who used to chew the heads off my barbie dolls! Even so became like a best friend and a part of the family.
This is where my passion, respect, intrigue and love of animals started and why I wanted to work with them one day.
Best Buddies offers to walk and care for your pets when you are unable to, whether this be a one off, or on a regular basis. Giving you peace of mind while you are not there.
Why use a dog walking/pet sitting service?
You may have work commitments, attending an all day event like a wedding, (i've been there, rushing home to let the dog out!) or ill health...it breaks my heart that some people have to give up their beloved pet because they can no longer walk them.
My aim is to offer an alternative to kennels and instead offer a one to one, trustworthy service to you and your pets enabling them to be able to stay in their own home.
Before I walk or look after you pets I will arrange a convenient time to visit you and your pet at home, this way they can get to know, and become familiar with me. This also gives me an opportunity to find out what they like/dislike, favourite games and routes or any medical issues they may have. You may also have some questions for me.
Dog walking
On the day, I will pick up your dog from home and take them on a local walk for the agreed amount of time. I offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour walks.
Having lived in Peterborough for over 25 years and having owned dogs for nearly 20 years, I know a lot of good routes!
Pet Sitting
I will arrive at your requested time of day, feed, top up water, let them out for a toilet break and give your pet some fuss and attention (if they want it!) Again i offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour visits.
If you will be away for longer than a day I can also open and close curtains/water plants/switch lights on and off if you require.
Wedding package
You’ve got the dress, the cake, the venue…but who’s going to... show more look after your best buddies while all your family and friends are with you celebrating your big day.
Best Buddies is now offering bespoke packages to suit you and your pet’s needs, while allowing them to stay in their own environment.
I can offer:
A mixture of walks and visits throughout the day
Half day or full day care in your own home
Overnight care
Or a combination of all of these!
If you would love for your best buddy to be there on your big day for the photos I can also bring them along to your venue for an extra charge (dependant on location of venue)
