I have over ten years' experience working with children, in both teaching and childcare. I spent 5 years teaching at The Little Gyms of Dallas, which included positions in Management. The Little Gym provides a non-competitive, nurturing approach to teaching children ages 4 months to 12 years in gymnastics and fitness. The Little Gym model provides fundamental success for the playground, classroom and beyond. As an instructor I was trained and studied child development in the physical realm.
Prior to that I lived in California where I coached Jr. and High School track and cross country and refereed basketball for ages 6-18. I also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor; which gave me the qualifications to manage a swim program for two summers.
I have provided private swim lessons to local children every summer since 2004, with the exception of 2011 and 2014 when my children were born. I have a 4 and a half year old son and 19 month old daughter. In 2003 I received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (Sport Management specialization) with a Business minor from Texas A&M.

The link is camandlevi.blogspot.com if you would like to read it. In August 2013 I started watching two children in my home. They came on different days. I cared for one baby through Mid-March and the other through May 2014. I also frequently provide sitting services outside my home so that parents... show more

I'm looking for private swim lessons for my 4.5yo. Anyone have recommendations? Trying to avoid spending an arm and a leg. Would love them to come to my home, since I have a 2.5yo and a 1.5yo, but if I have to go to a facility, I will. Thanks!
