Anyone know of bars/restaurants in the Downtown KC/River Market areas that will be open on the 4th of July!? Since the weather is supposed to be cruddy we are thinking about doing a little bar crawl! Thank you in advance for suggestions!
Seeking recommendations for a downtown/adjacent restaurant/event space for a relatively affordable party for approx 100 guests? My (non-profit) organization is looking to host a party to celebrate one of our directors' retirements, and are looking to send her off nicely. She deserves it! Has, among other things, been serving children and families with Autism for decades.
What are a few recommendations for places to have a nice cocktail/hors d'ourves event that isn't going to annihilate our budget?
Up to 100 people for a few hours. Open to renting out a space and hiring a caterer, renting out a large room at a restaurant and enjoying their food, drinks, whatever. Unsure of budget but would think that $2K would max us out.

Assuming you want to keep it casual, The Brick House just opened recently in Martini Corner and they have happy hour from 3-10 pm on Fridays with pretty good specials. You could probably get away with $20 per person even with tax and gratuity. They also have extra space in their upstairs that they may be willing to make exclusive to your party. http://brickhousekc.com/
