This is Mackenzie ❤ She is 24 and autistic. We are desperate to find her a dentist to finish fixing her teeth! She has private dental insurance as well as Apple Health Care. We have been trying to get her a dentist for 4 years that accepts both her insurances as her dental care requires sedation. Over the years her medications continue to eat away her teeth and her tooth grinding definitely doesn't help. We are willing to try minor sedation in office as the hospital finds her dental care not a top priority in the OR and her appointments get cancelled due to the OR needing to be used for other people.. She has alot of work that needs to be done AGAIN and I understand that this might not be a priority to some but to her and her family it's very important! I would prefer her to be able to keep her teeth, even if it means every 2 years having to redo certain procedures. She has been on the waiting list at the University of Washington for over 4 years but we need to take action now. Know what it feels like to have tooth pain? Imagine how she feels and it's hard for her to express that pain. If anyone has any ideas of who would be willing to take her, throw it out there! It might be one of the 75 we haven't already looked into. Her private insurance is through Regence and the provider needs to be a PPO and willing to do work in the OR or try sedation in their office. We will travel if needed! Thanks!
