Last night I was teaching a class on the health benefits of keeping a journal. I mentioned the work of my friend, James Pennebaker, who is a psych prof at UT and has conducted and reported some amazing research. One of the class attendees perked up upon hearing JP's name. Turns out he (the attendee) is an Australian psychiatrist who specializes in trauma. So we zoomed in on some PTSD talk, since I'm an accidental "expert" on the topic. The kind Australian then sent me this article-- if you have PTSD or know someone who does, I super highly recommend this. Totally resonated for me.
