Rod holds degrees from the Texas A&M school of Architecture and also the Texas A&M School of Business. While at Texas A&M Rod used computers to experiment with multi-use spaces in architecture environments and the costs of quickly modifying the contents of the spaces for different purposes. These computerized time and motion studies became the basis of Apartment Movers as these computer models made it possible to determine the cost of moving items from one location to another in a building, between buildings or across the country.
