Hi there! I'm Yvette. I'm a freelance wedding, portrait, and concert photographer based in the Napa and Sonoma Valley. I am the primary photographer, editor, retoucher, creative director, and graphic designer behind envy eighteen. Occasionally you'll see my partner onsite as well. I hope you enjoy reading a little bit more about me and what I do, thank you.
I specialize in editorial, lifestyle, environmental, and commercial in both portraits and weddings. I truly honor being the person in charge of capturing your story and or vision. I don't only focus on the big story ahead but also the little moments and details that often get over looked. My goal is to always present artwork that will forever trigger beautiful memories and emotions for a lifetime.
My story began in 1996, when I held my first camera, a Polaroid. I started creating sets out of doll sized furniture, paper, and whatever else I could find. In order to make them look like in advertisements. I had knack for it. On December 2007, at a Lifehouse concert in Reno, Nevada, I realized photography chose me. Just with my Nikon Coolpix L4, I managed to get a photo of the lead singer that stood out to me. Although the quality wasn't the best, I relived the moment I had captured once again. I felt that pause he took, as the crowed quieted down for the last note. Soon after, I wanted to see if it was just a fluke or if I could actually capture these types of moments. That’s when I picked up an Olympus E-410 and everything began, it wasn’t just luck. As a result, I created envy eighteen photography in 2009, during my last year of High School as my senior project. Since then, it’s opened a new world for me to play in and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
