Re: The locksmith rip off I posted about yesterday. The police officer I filed the report with called back this morning and stated that it was a legit business. I asked him how he knows this and he basically stammered around and said because the guy on the phone told him it was (!). The guy also now knows I have filed a police report because the officer gave him my information. Guys...I'm not sure how that is in any way helpful, how does this make me feel more safe!? He also told the officer they operate out of Houston - which I also suspect is a lie since the same person told me they were located in Chelmsford and then agreed they were actually in Lowell when I confronted him upon research. If we have any locksmiths in this group - can you confirm if paying someone $238 to come to your house and do a 5 minute pick on a twist lock seems....like an honest fee? I can't even give you the name of the company NOT to use because when you search for them now, they are no longer in the search - seems very obvious to me it is a scam :\
