  I used this for coverage when I was independently employed. I had a catastrophic plan with a 10,000 deductible. However, it also allowed me to pay the discounted rate if I was to see a doctor. Furthermore it allows to create an HSA account which is like a FSA except it does NOT disappear at the end of the year if the funds are not spent. The problem with self insured plans is that NONE currently cover pregnancy. This will change as of Jan 1 2014 but one my have to drop their current coverage to obtain a new plan at that time.http://www.goldenrule.com/

  I've used http://www.goldenrule.com for a few years and have found them very competitively priced, accessible and speedy in paying claims. I hate that they're underneath Unite HealthOne , but they've been the best independent company I've used.
