  http://volunteer.truist.com/vcgw/volunteer/search.tcl This is one of the easiest ways to find good volunteering in Milwaukee, especially because you can search for something that suits your personality! You can make friends through there, but you'll also totally make friends through school, too! When I was visiting campus I got completely lost and overwhelmed and the LGBTQ services helped me out SO MUCH in finding out where to apply for housing, how to get around campus, what types of public transportation there is, and they were just generally nice to me. BONUS-they're right next to the housing department that had TONS of different listings for rooming! Volunteering through the school is pretty easy!
