  oh man, I know that pain, Google search of "cat groomers", and get 100 hits on "dog **only** groomers". Apparently Google knows everything except for the difference between a cat and a dog. I just did my Himalayan at [Old Towne Pet Resort in Sterling](https://www.oldetownepetresort.com/). They have way too many insane spa options for pets, but will do a basic bath and shave for a decent price. They're good people, felt like my cat was well taken care of. The chain stores usually have groomers as well, but they'll have a cat specialist who only works the most inconvenient hours. Make sure you have records for your cat's rabies.

We've boarded him at Dogtopia in Tyson's for a weekend a few times and it's gone well, but they don't take the dogs for walks outside. They are indoors the whole time and go potty all over the floor where they play...someone is constantly cleaning it up while they supervise the dogs, but he comes home reaking of pee. Not something I want him to experience for 9 days straight. I know there are other places that are kind of the opposite, and take the dogs for walks but they don't get much playtime with other dogs. I am looking for a happy medium, price is not really a concern for this, and preferably somewhere within 30-40 minutes drive from Tyson's area. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

  Definitely Olde Towne Pet Resort in Springfield. A few walks per day, daily doggie playtime for a few hours with other dogs (also viewable via webcam) and a bath before pickup. You can also splurge for extra stuff, like swimming, extra walks, and larger pens/rooms with webcams. You take their own bed and toys, if you've got multiple pets you can pen them together, and it's all around a good experience. My dogs love it, but pugs are pretty hard to disappoint.
