  Family cabin camp recommendations in Arkansas Hello all! Each summer my family vacations in Texas on the Guadalupe River. The “camp” is just about a dozen basic cabins on the river and includes some games and activities for the kids. It’s great because the adults can watch the kids have fun with a beer in hand, and floating in the water all day. Well one of our family units moved to Kentucky so we’re wanting to meet in the middle this summer....in Arkansas. Does anyone have any suggestions on a family style camp in Arkansas with a clean body of water for swimming? We’re looking for something with either small individual cabins or affordable large cabins. Family friendly, alcohol permitting, on the water, outdoorsy. Somewhere the kids can run around infront of us and play, and we can all go down to the water together. Any and all recommendations would be most appreciated! Thanks!

  When I lived in Arkansas awhile ago the outfitter of choice in the region was Buffalo Outdoor Center, commonly called BOC. Located in Ponca, AR. I don't have any recent experience with them, but probably a good place to start looking. http://www.buffaloriver.com
