  Ok... we want to plan a beach vacation next summer! I haven't been to a beach since I was probably 8 yrs old so I need some help! We want a beach close enough to be within a 6 hour drive, be a clean and family friendly area,decent rental houses reasonably priced on the beach. Thinking around the Maryland or Delaware area maybe? Anyone have any experiences or ideas?

  Delaware is very nice, Bethany Beach, Dewey Beach, Lewes, and Rehoboth Beach are close to each other. Rehoboth has a boardwalk. It depends on the time of year you go too. http://www.visitdelaware.com/things-to-do/beaches/
