Vet recommendations in Texas? Hi friends,
I need a little help from my Texan hedgehog owners- specifically in DFW.
My 3 y/o hedgehog Roosevelt has just been diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor, which is cancerous. The vet I visited said she could perform surgery, but needed time to learn more about it.
I love Roosevelt, and I'm willing to pay a lot to have his tumor removed. If anyone has a vet they would personally recommend in the DFW, that would be awesome. Especially if they have performed surgery on a hedgehog before. Thank you guys in advance.

I recommend Allen Vet Hospital. They're great, easy to get an appointment, usually pretty cheap ($15 visit instead of $60 most like to charge). Took my boy there any time he needed a vet before he passed, then they also did the necropsy and cremation for me. I still take my rats there. http://www.allenvethosp.com/
Veterinarian recommendations in the far north Dallas area. Hey folks! So, I've wanted to do some vet shopping for a while, because I decided that I really don't like the vet office we currently go to. It's far away, and it's a chain (the VCA chain specifically) which seems to drive up the price.
We kind of like the vet himself, but again...a lot more expensive than I'm comfortable with.
So with these things in mind, does anyone have any experience or suggestions with vets in the Plano/Frisco/Allen area? Plus, this needs to be a vet that's ready to work with a fear aggressive 16lb terrier mutt (he's a work in progress though..whew).
Thanks for your suggestions!!

We've always taken our pets to [Dr. Overton](http://www.allenvethosp.com/) in Allen. Great clinic and in incredibly caring doctor. When we had (both!) of our dogs get hit by a car, while we were out of state, they were even kind enough to send us a sympathy card for our loss. Since we were out of state, they didn't even get a chance to tend to our dogs, but it is that kind of touch that makes me want to recommend him.
