Hey, Mommies...
My young niece is about to have her first baby... in Vancouver. She wants to try breastfeeding. I'd like to send her a nice gift basket but I'm really having no luck. I am hoping someone will know of a great company I can use.
I do not want a bunch of stupid stuff in a basket like more stuffed animals, anti-scratch mittens, shoes that babies don't need, more washcloths, a newborn onesie that he'll outgrow in 2 weeks, a baby bottle that might discourage her, a baby comforter which they shouldn't use as newborns. But I've looked at so many places online, and that's the kind of stuff they put in gift baskets.
I'd like a nice gift basket with some combination of the following:
treats like chocolates and yummies for the mom and dad, Mother's Milk tea, a recipe for lactation cookies, nipple cream, nursing pads, a wrist rattle, quality baby board books like goodnight moon ( which is common but you get the idea,) a breastfeeding necklace for baby to fidget with, a breastfeeding book, keepsakes for first hair cut, picture frame with birth details, a water bottle that says "I make milk, what's your super power" or something silly like that, gel pads, a local LLL number, baby sleep sack, The Baby Book by Dr Sears, a funny book about new-motherhood, an amazing butt cream, milestones recorder, soft crinkly, squeeky, etc baby toys, plus any other awesome stuff!
Soooo... Does anyone know of a company that makes gift baskets like that? Do they even exist... in Canada?
Thank you!
