  A new cafe is opening today right across from the police department on Commercial. She is a wonderful lady and has awesome food! The name is Goldstar Cafe and Catering. You can find their fb page for the hours and menu/specials. MI Ranchito is delicious if you like Mexican food but they get quite busy, especially on the weekend during dinner rush. There is also another Mexican restaurant in the strack's mall called Mexico Chiquito. I personally don't like it as much as Mi Ranchito but it'll depend on your taste. The owners of Mexico Chiquito have an American restaurant called Ricardo's. It's south on 41 by the Belshaw light, the light past route 2. I haven't been yet. George's Family Restaurant is on the corner of Commercial and Deanna. It's pretty good but they can get very busy around breakfast times on the weekends. If you continue down Deanna Drive, there is a Chinese restaurant by UPS on the left great for carryout. Aurelio's is also on your left. They are open only for dinner. Dine in, carry out, delivery, and they have a drive thru for pick up. If you dine in, be prepared to be there awhile. It normally takes awhile to get your food but awesome service. In my opinion, it's the best pizza but I did grow up eating it in my hometown. Schoop's is also on your right on Deanna. If you've never ate at a Schoop's, bring your wallet. Yummy food but everything is ala carte so it adds up fast. If you go to the end of Deanna drive, there's our bowling alley. In the downtown strip on Commercial, there's McVey's. It's pretty good with steaks and sea food and by far the 'fanciest' restaurant in Lowell but you can totally wear jeans. You get relish trays here and the food is pretty good. There is also Pizza House that is closed Monday and Tuesday. Dine in, carry out, or delivery here. They have a few other options here other than pizza. Good wings here if you like breaded, no sauce wings. There is also Faustino's pizza down Mill St. This is pretty good too. Carry out or delivery only and they won my vote for best wings in town. They have delicious sauces with a few to pick from. There is also Athen's. This is a little Greek restaurant with delivery or carryout. I have to admit we do get Athen's often as it's the only non-pizza delivery place in town. In my opinion, it can get pretty pricey depending on what your order. Also, our Pizza Hut has an OK lunch buffet. I think I covered every restaurant in town. Sorry if I missed anything. For the car shows, the Lions Club has them a few Saturdays each month during the summer months. The Lions Club has a fb page and you will probably be able to get more info there.
