About us
My photo journey began when I was a little girl with a Polaroid. I loved that white rainbow striped camera so much. I spent all of my allowance on film and took it everywhere with me. In High school I was a photographer on the school newspaper and shot with an old Nikromat film camera. Shooting football games, parades and everyday high school life made me more of a documentarian than an artist. At least that's what I thought.
When I went off to college I decided to study painting instead of photography. I wanted to be a true artist. Funny, right? I graduated and headed off into the real world where I soon felt the need to start taking photos again. I got my first digital point and shoot in 2000 and rediscoverd my passion. It was only a year later that I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D80 and started taking portaits for family and friends. I so loved it!
A few camera upgrades later, countless photos taken and edited and many hours spent reading books and blogs I am where I am today. It's been a wonderful journey getting here.
My greatest joy is creating beautiful art that captures the true story of each family and individual I am priveledged to work for. My goal is to capture those in between moments during the shoot. I like to call them the "true moments". Those tiny little expressions that make every person unique. When I capture those I get really excited because I know my clients are going to be happy
We have a lot of fun on my photo shoots so be prepared to laugh...a lot :)
It is very rare to see me without my camera. My camera is my pal and I take her everywhere I go. You just never know when you are going to see the most amazing thing ever.
I hope that I can capture some "true moments" in your life as well.

Trina has a BFA from the University of Kansas and has been a Professional Portrait Photographer for 6years.
