Prices are obviously going to be quite expensive at that time, but does anyone know if it's better to book these kind of trips as far in advance as possible, or would prices drop as you get closer?   Royal Decameron north of Puerto Vallarta is great (in bucerias). www.tripcentral.ca is a great site to use to search. Then you can check reviews on trip advisor before booking. We liked Manzanillo as well and felt very comfortable and safe there. We stayed at the Barcelo Karmina over christmas...was ok, but not a great beach. looked like a good kids club though. We heard Tesoro is good for families.

  Check out www.tripcentral.ca you can see a grid of all the packages from a whole bunch of different companies for all the hotel. Easy way to compare prices and find the best deals. Prices can change by a couple hundred dollar/week by just going a day later or earlier etc.

  I love using www.tripcentral.ca to research and book. Easy matrix format shows you all dates prices and hotels at once. I would wait start watching prices NOW and book 3 weeks before departure date - I find that's when last minute deals tend to get the lowest with still decent date choice and availability for this low season time of year.   Check out www.tripcentral.ca it lists all prices for every day with all the different packages etc. Might be cheaper with a different airline etc. Also the grid makes it really easy to price watch.
