  Is anyone able to recommend a general handyman/helper? I am coming towards the end of a major house refurbishment and need someone who can work with me and can help me get things finished off. The problem is that I am not looking for a highly skilled person such as a carpenter, electrician or plumber but someone who is practical, able to do a little bit of everything honest, reliable and reasonable (and does not come to work drunk).   Hi Yvonne If it's tripping the circuit It will be a leakage to earth fault Live to earth or possibly a Neutral to earth fault It would be tripped your mcb fuse or your RCD (depending on your type of fuse board). It's normally a faulty element or a faulty motor or a short on the motor brushes or on the odd occasion rodent damage to the intunal wiring within the appliance.
