  Hey LV, Not sure if you would know, I have a friend who is trying to see a place and the booking realtor (local agent) is requiring a copy of his Current Lease, proof that he terminated it, credit check, ID etc before even viewing the place. Is this normal? is this an identity theft scam? I just wanted to ask before a call is made to the Real Estate Council

  Also you can check here to ensure that the realtor is licensed in Ontario but seems the realtor's request is normal (copy of current lease/termination excepted) http://www.reco.on.ca/realestate-pro-search/
