  In japan I went to the hair salon to get my hair highlighted but my stylist told me not to and to just get my entire head "toned" bit it wasn't called an actual hair "dye"!! My hair is originally light brown but I had it toned by her as a dark mahogany color!!! My QUESTION is... Is there a good salon that does toning? If you don't know the difference I was told by my stylist that toner basically over time fades instead of growing out
