Can anyone recommend a TMJ specialist or just a good, trustworthy dentist? I have issues with TMJ (basically pain and tension in the jaw joint), but I'm having trouble finding someone to treat it. I'm looking for a conservative treatment, like a splint or something, versus braces and surgery, etc.
Because TMJ treatment can be expensive and it seems like there are quacks out there wanting to take advantage of people in pain, if possible I'd like a personal recommendation from someone who has successfully treated their TMJ. Currently, I don't even have a dentist in Indianapolis so I'd take a recommendation there if you've been to one you like.
Any area of the city is fairly convenient for me. Thanks!

I don't know about treating TMJ (no experience with that) but since you don't have a dentist, I'd recommend mine: Dr. Kwon http://www.tpdental.com/ TMJ isn't listed on his site, but it may help to get setup with a solid, regular dentist and they can help you get referrals for your specific condition from there. I know if I were in your position, I'd trust the opinion of a good dentist over some internet recommendations. :)
Who knows a good Orthodontist?
I need to get braces for my son.

I went to Traders Point Dental on 86 th and 465. For adult braces....I should have worn that retainer in high school! They were amazing, definitely check them out. I forget the doctor's name but the whole staff was amazing.
