Antique/thrift/consignment store recommendations I'm designing props for a show and am in search of (ideally fairly cheap) items from the late 1940s and early-mid 1950s. Any suggestions of stores in the area (within an hour of the beltway at most, ideally closer) that are known for having items from this period? Some of the items I'm interested in include fan/movie magazines, textbooks, purses/bags, wine/beer bottles, costume jewelry, car parts, radios/record players, dishes, and chrome diner-style furniture. Thanks!

[Meeps DC](http://www.meepsdc.com/) may fit the bill. It's not *that* cheap and their items may be a little after the 40's and 50's but definitely worth taking a look because they definitely have a lot of very cool vintage clothing items stretching through a number of decades.
