I want to properly sound proof the ceilings in my 2 room 450 SF beach (unoccupied/mostly empty) condo. What needs to be done: 1. Remove the existing improperly installed ceilings. 2. Attach metal "sound clips" spaced between ceiling joists. 3. Pull down electrical wiring already in 5 places in the ceilings. 4. Insert sound proofing insulation (Roxul) in any place originally not installed. 5. Snap metal hat channels into sound clips. 6. Screw first 3/8" layer of drywall into hat channel. 7. Cut hole in drywall to pull electrical wiring through. 8. Stagger and screw second 3/8" of drywall into the first layer. 9. Cut hole in second layer of drywall to pull electrical wiring through. 10. Tape, mud and smooth finish the ceilings. 11. Apply acoustical sealant between the edges of new ceiling and side walls. I will pay for all materials. Please let me know if you are interested OR if you can recommend another individual who is reliable, skilled and trustworthy. I require working with a signed contract and need references, please. I would like to start the job in the next few weeks--at your convenience. Thanks for considering my job offer.

The county does not give out building permits for commercial spaces without a signed and sealed drawing (no matter how small or simple.) We do office fit out work regularly in my office if you don't already have plans drawn up or if you do have plans but no seal, we can help.

Scott W. asked:Needed: A licensed, insured contractor that is proficient in house wrap-window-siding repairs for a home in Lewes, especially if they have experience fixing the defective house wrap used on NV/Ryan homes. The issue: During high wind and rain, water pours in through our windows. The NV/Ryan Homes rep told us they stopped using the house wrap installed on our home due to a high failure rate. They are willing to come fix each leak as they occur, but the leaks keep occurring and causing damage to our interior that NV/Ryan won't fix. NV/Ryan Homes only wants to put band-aids on the symptoms, and refuses to actually fix the problem.
