Question: We need to have dentistry done on my 10 year old son. It would have to be done sedated, as there is probably no way we could hold him down or restrain him in the chair. We had wanted it done at Children's, but there was a snafu with the anesthesiologist, over a 7 year old EEG that showed a tiny anomaly. At the time of the EEG, the neurologist said it was nothing to worry about. Now, they want to sedate him for an MRI, just to see if they can sedate him for the dentistry.
First, thoughts on this? Second, has anyone gotten similar sedation dentistry for their child, and if so where? We are so confused about this. If worse comes to worse, we will hold him in the chair and do one tooth at a time (he needs 4 pulled), but that seems like a bad last resort.
Thanks for listening...
