  Have you tried any of the local shops in Cville? I have purchased all of my firearms from [Woodbrook Sports Supply](http://www.woodbrooksportsva.com/) and I know they do gunsmithing too. Some people do not like them as they can be overpriced.

I'm looking for some relatively simple stuff done, such as drill and tap a receiver for a scope base, need some sights removed that have been silver soldered on. Maybe some custom work like some low profile irons attached to an older rifle. Easy stuff that I simply don't have the hardware to do myself. Can anyone recommend the work of a gunsmith here in town? I don't want to say 'cheap' since I'd prefer some quality in the work, but realistically the stuff I want done doesn't require a master of the craft.
