  For anyone who has run the Marine Corp Marathon in the past or knows the area, where would you suggest staying? I do not plan to rent a car so looking for a close hotel or one near a shuttle and the official website is rather confusing.

  I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Washington at Capitol Hill in downtown 202-737-1234 and walked to the metro station with other runners, made the connection and walked to the start. It was perfect. Hope that helps. Good luck! It's one of the best and the medal is awesome!
