  My teenager needs to have his wisdom teeth removed. His dentist referred us to another practice to have this done. This second place wants to charge us an $85.00 consultation fee for a phone call before they will even give us a price on the procedure. Is this typical? Does anyone have a recommendation for a good place to have this done?

  My son had to have a tooth surgically removed a few years ago and we used Nu Image Dentistry. They were great and even called us the next day to see how he was doing. I don't remember paying for the consultation. http://www.ncimplant.com

  I'm not 100% sure if a periodontist and implant oral surgeon is the same thing, but I had my wisdom teeth taken out Friday at Brier Creek Center for Implant and Oral Surgery and Dr. McIvers was really great.
