Looking for a NOLA seamstress willing to give lessons/rent a sewing machine in the next few days! Woke up today and found a bunch of dudes on bikes from Austin, on day 11 of traveling around the country, my neighbor hosted them here in Baton Rouge last night. They're taking the Swift to New Orleans tonight to stay for 2 or 3 days.
One of them wanted to find a seamstress down there to take a few sewing lessons -- he wants to make iPhone/iPad cases to sell while he's on the road, so ideally he wants to rent/use a sewing machine for the few days he's in N.O. I'd imagine a hobbyist would be fine for this, as iPhone/iPad cases are pretty simple to make, and easy enough for a beginner.
If you know of anyone willing to help him out, PM me or comment here, and I'll send you the guy's email address. They're all really nice dudes, and they already have a place to stay down there, so they won't be trying to crash on your couch or anything.
Thanks for the help!

http://sewfabulousnola.com/ They are on Oak street. They do group classes and private lessons, and have sewing machines on-site that you can use. I would contact them for sure!
