Therapist for someone without insurance Does anyone have any tips for me regarding finding a therapist even though I don’t have insurance? I’ve never done therapy before but think I need it. Unfortunately I’m at a point where I don’t have insurance and make ~$25k a year. I google searched and saw many people paying over $100 a session. I could probably put it on a credit card and just deal with the debt best I can. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone in my situation or any good experiences with a therapist around here they can recommend?
Any recommendations on seeing a therapist without breaking the bank? I need to see a therapist for something I’m going through, but I live paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford hefty payments. Does anyone have any leads or tips on seeing a therapist for cheap? I don’t believe my insurance covers it.
Looking for non religious psychiatrists in the area I'm looking for recommendations for a non-religious psychiatrist in the Boro. A Google search yielded a few results, but I was really thrown by how many offices mentioned "christian atmosphere". Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't have insurance, there is the non-profit mhc-tn.org.
GP+Therapist Recommendations? Xpost /r/NashvilleTN My little sister lives in Nashville and is need of a GP so she can get referred to a therapist. I live out of state and she has some anxiety about essentially cold calling offices and I thought maybe we could get some better info here.
Ideally a woman, relatively liberal (we've had some bad experiences with Christian physicians, oddly. They can be religious but...preference is on nice), and easy going. Any advice about GPs or Therapists would be appreciated.

Check out [Heritage Medical Associates](https://www.heritagemedical.com/). They have several locations around town that do family practice/PCP. They have a large network of doctors, so referrals are generally quick and easy for other specialties. Check out the [Mental Health Cooperative](https://www.mhc-tn.org/) for all her behavioral health needs.
