  I have no insurance and need medical care. Does anyone know of a clinic that treats illness for free/on a sliding scale? Also help with prescriptions? My medicines run about $1500 a month. I've applied for medicaid but it will take a long time. I appreciate any help or advice.

  Hi! So the good thing is you do have options. There are a few community health centers (CHS) that specifically serve the uninsured/underinsured/insured to provide economic healthcare access. Here are a few options: * [Advance Community Health](https://www.advancechc.org/) * [Alliance Medical Ministry](http://www.alliancemedicalministry.org/) * [Neighbor Health](https://neighborhealthcenter.org/) All of these take patients with no insurance and have sliding fee scales.   Hi Wake Forest Community , I am sending out a desperate call for help . My grandfather died in September and my grandmother has Alzheimer's : dimentia therefor had to move from Florida to North Carolina because she can't live on her own. She is living with my mother right now but she has not seen a doctor since September and has recently had a seasonal virus. She needs to be evaluated by a doctor here so we can understand her prognosis help her be comfortable and do the best we can by her. The problem is no one we have talked to is taking new patients. We need a call to action in this community to take care of our elderly please if anyone has any inside knowledge of where we can go to get help besides a nursing home or emergency room please comment. Ps she had Medicare (Humana)

  There is Advance Community Health in Wake and Franklin County. They take all patients and work on a sliding scale for those without insurance. There are several in Raleigh but the nearest is in Louisburg. Here is the link. http://www.advancechc.org/locations/franklin/
