Remember when days used to stretch out forever? When you’d wake up with the sun on your face, have breakfast, sit on the deck all morning and do nothing at all? Dig clams for dinner, then have a fire on the beach? You felt far away from everything, yet close to what was important.
That’s how it is at Alderbrook Resort. A convenient two hours from Seattle, Washington, the Alderbrook Resort takes you worlds away. Surrounded by the Olympic Mountains, the Resort & Spa rests on the shores of the Hood Canal, a glacier-carved fjord home to eagles and osprey, salmon and seals.
We believe that a getaway shouldn’t mean roughing it. Our luxury guestrooms and accommodations are beautifully designed with thoughtfully appointed amenities. Like premium linens and comfy duvets. Daybeds and soaking tubs. A lobby with a massive stone fireplace and leather couches to sink into. A waterfront pool. A world-class full service Spa. A neighboring PGA-class golf course. Plus some of the best food in the region, with fresh local seafood and world-class wines. And a marina only steps away. So your boat can come with you.
The Alderbrook Resort in Washington is the kind of place where you can put your feet up at the end of the day, watch the sun set and say, yes. This is good.
Looking for suggestions for a place outdoors near water to hold a wedding of at least 100 people. Any location would work (Gig Harbor, Allyn, Hood Canal, Kingston, Bainbridge Island). Alyssa Dubocq
Looking for a salon or spa to do a half spa day for my sister's bday. Lots of Google options but prefer recommendations based on prior experience.
Never have done a spa day so not even sure where to start

I am looking for recommendations on a good place to go within driving distance for a (tired) mom's weekend or overnight getaway with friends! Somewhere peaceful, relaxing, pretty...

I have my 10 year anniversary coming up and we will be road-tripping through Northwest Washington and the Peninsula. Any recommendations for unique and kick-ass restaurants that we should hit up. Hidden gems and small joints are always more our speed than the larger, stuffier places. Chef owned and driven are also always a plus for us. Thanks in advance!

Alderbrook is pretty great for the views, a cocktail and lunch. Don't miss the bloody mary if you're there for brunch. http://www.alderbrookresort.com/
Does anyone know of an awesome Fireworks show in Port Orchard? A friend of mine mentioned a place off the 3 on the way to Belfair where a guy spends about $60,000 a year and puts on a huge crazy show????
