  Could anyone please recommend a good, reliable OFTEC registered oil boiler engineer? Please note this needs to be someone who deals with oil boilers, not gas. Alternatively if anyone knows Tony Stockton please could they ask him to return my husband's calls, as the boiler he fitted about 3 years ago which has never worked properly has now completely stopped working (the burner this time, I believe). No heating or hot water with a very young family isn't really working out for us. Thanks in advance.

  Hoping for some advice/recommendations please. Having reported a faint smell of gas in the home a gentleman came round to confirm a gas leak from internal pipework somewhere in the house( ie under the floor). He has isolated the gas into the house and also used a sealing disc at the meter to make everything safe. We are now left with no central heating. I have called british gas homecare as have cover with them but they can not help me with this even if i had their full cover. I have been told by my home insurance to proceed with work to find the source of the leak but they have not given me any guarantee that i would be covered! ( May pay may not, depending on a cause of damage report from a gas safe plumber). The work involved would require taking up kitchen, dining or lounge floor to locate faulty pipe. Repairing pipe then making floor good. Can anyone recommend a local gas safe plumber and any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
