Pleasant View area....looking for a preschool for my soon to be 4 year old girl. Her birthday falls at the end of September and she will not be able to go to Kindergarten till she is almost 6. Any suggestions/recommendations?

Call the board of Education and i believe Emily Staggs is over it .. I think you can go to www. mcheadstart.org also

We encourage everyone with an age eligible child to apply for Head Start, receiving assistance or not. All children are placed on an active waiting list. Once the application is processed by our central office they begin accepting children. Children with the greatest need are accepted first. As children drop throughout the year we replace the dropped children with ones on the waiting list.

Ladies, just wanted to let you know that there is a PreK program at East Cheatham. Emily Staggs is over the PreK program for the county. You can reach her at the Board of Education. The only Head Start program in the county is in Ashland City behind the board of education
Margo R. replied:
You're welcome! I'm not 100% positive about this but I think a child has to be 4 yrs old by August 15 to be age eligible for PreK. But definitely call the board to be sure. Head Start accepts 3 & 4 year olds so we are also another option! We would love to give you a tour or answer any of your questions about our program! Stop by and see us!

I had the same issue with my son due to his birthday being the end of October so he will be turning 7 in first grade. I was kinda bummed about it but I looked at it that the hill be alittle more advance also in high school he can start driving to school sooner. I also had the issue of trying to put him in head start because I was not on a gov. Assistance and I guess the children who are get pushed in the front of the list to enroll but started if they had a drop out he could join.
