About us
What is Phở Nom? It's street food but it's not junk food. It's a quick service restaurant with a Slow Food philosophy.
Phở Nom specialises in comforting yet fast street eats from Vietnam, the way that Vietnamese Australian co-owners Chef Jerry Mai and her brother David Mai like to eat them. And it's made with premium ethically raised local produce, MSG free.
The fresh ingredients come direct from some of Victoria's best farms specialising in hormone and antibiotic free; free range; grass fed; rare breed and heirloom using sustainable practices.
Some of the menu items are gluten free, some of it is vegan - just ask us when you order. With our phở help yourself to herbs and condiments, add a little chilli at a time, it's your call how you season it.
Our food is available to dine in or take away - our phở has special spill proof biodegradable containers for taking away that still allow you to juggle your shopping. It's just one of the ways we pay attention to detail.
Traditional Vietnamese street drinks like freshly crushed sugar cane juice, young coconut, soursop smoothies and proper Vietnamese coffee are amongst the selection available as well as Vietnamese beers.
Our regulars reckon we're #PhởNomenal, but come see for yourself.
As Jerry says, "If you like it, tell me. If you don't, come talk to me about it and we'll discuss how I can make it better."
Can you help Melbourne Mama Ella?
"Hi, Just wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere decent to eat with the kids (aged 4 and 6) at Emporium Melbourne? I'm interested in a cafe/restaurant rather than food court."
Gem M. replied:
If you can't find something that isn't in the food court, can I recommend Pho Nom - their pho is so yummy. Chef Jerry Mai has worked at Dandelion in Elwood previously, her canteen is well worth checking out - the Bahn Mi would go down with littlies especially well I'd think https://www.facebook.com/PhoNomAU
