  I know a credit card is not always the best choice but Miller animal clinic offers a credit card called care credit I had to get it when my dog needed surgery and also I love Miller animal clinic there always super nice!

  It may be a drive, but Sterners in Ionia is wonderful, great prices, and also accepts Care Credit. Some may not agree with me and that is absolutely fine but I feel the need to express my strong opinion regarding Miller Animal Clinic. Our family had went there for years, I had taken my previous pets there for years, but due to a recent experience with them I will never EVER go there or recommend them to anyone. I will even go as far as to plead with people not to take their pets there. Again, that's just based on the experience that I had there that resulted in in almost $1,000 in vet bills for my cat and still was given the choice btwn another $1,000 EXPLORATORY surgery or to put him down. Unfortunately I could not afford that so we had to choose to let him go and not have him suffer anymore. They still had the audacity to come in and ask if I wanted a $15 ceramic footprint made (all after going back and forth on how I couldn't pay my bills that month because of the previous $1,000 I already owed them). In the more than 10 years that our family has been with them it has become apparent that they care mainly about the bottom dollar rather than helping save your loved one. Again, just my opinion based on my experience.

  Has anyone had an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) on their pet? I have a cat who needs this surgery and I'm looking for recommendations on where to go. We had x-rays at MSU yesterday and they were able to give us an estimate on what the surgery will cost there, but if anyone has experience with this and can recommend a local vet, I would appreciate it. I wasn't overly impressed with MSU and ultimately, I'd like to find someone locally who will hopefully be more affordable than MSU. Thanks!
