The back yard is a larger project, I basically have about a 2 foot buffer around the edge of the yard that has a bunch of huge stones placed in it with pea gravel around. I would like the huge stones removed and some sort of border installed and river rock put back down... Never had this type of work done and not sure what to expect price wise and would rather go with someone who knows what they are doing and not going to rip me off...   We had [Backyard Creations](http://www.backyard-creations.com/) update a small (~10 x12') patio a couple years ago. It was under $2K for them to haul out the stone, put in a few plants, mulch, replace stepping stones, and trim a small tree. Very pleased with the work. *edited to add that we'd have knocked a few hundred off the price if we removed the gravel ourselves, but we didn't feel like it.
