  I'm not black but I have 3 a/3 b hair and I've been going to Gabby at Studio Seven for a little while, she's great. Very knowledgeable and will listen to what you want or give you advice if you're not sure what to do, and she gives good hair care tips too. Not sure if she has a lot of experience with black hair specifically but it might be worth going for a consult or something. There's a salon in Fernwood I always walk by called Who Dyd Your Hair that might be worth checking out, I've never been in but it has some good reviews online.
