  Ok friends - I'm looking for a referral for a good music store that can assess my daughter's violin. It would be great if the store is located in the San Gabriel valley. (I know little about stringed instruments.) The issue is that the E string can't be tuned above an Eb, so she's been playing everything one half step lower. I'd like to get it repaired or replaced.   There are two violin stores, one in pasadena and the other in glendale that I would recommend. Central Avenue Glendale, CA 91204 Metzler is more user friendly and open regular hours...they are probably more expensive as well. Let me know what happens..
