  Who do I contact about a slum lord landlord? I asked them 3 weeks ago to call an electrician and they have yet to do it.. I asked them when we first moved in for my mailbox key and have yet to recieve it.. (was just told by them its my responsibilty to get it from the post office, which is false)... I also just informed them that my A/C unit isnt cooling and was told let me call you back. ( Which is the standard response and nothing gets done).. I know i can possibly run the risk of them being buttheads and deciding to evict me and my family for no good reason but this is crazy that they continue to do this with there tenants..

  Call city code enforcement. They can tell you if your landlord is in violation of any codes and if they are code enforcement will arrange for an inspection. That usually gets repairs done pretty quick. Here are the numbers: Volusia county 386-257-6000 Daytona Beach 386-671-5298
