About us
My love for photography all started as a fun hobby and wanting to take better night photographs. I met a professional photographer through my day job, Stephen Vedder, who showed me the basics of using the camera in manual mode. From there I took what I learned from him and made it a point to really work at and get better at this new craft and new found passion. I decided to challenge my self at the beginning of the year to post one great picture a day. So I started a photography page on Facebook called birch three photography to post these shot of the day photos for people to enjoy and critique. Being a husband and a father of three, not to mention working a full time job, this proved to be a very difficult challenge indeed. But in the process I have learned to look at the world around us with a very different eye. A photographic eye. To see seemingly mundane things and things in nature that I normally would not have paid much attention to in a new light. To find beauty in simple things just by looking at them at a new angle or in that perfect early morning sunlight. I try to present images in a natural way so the viewer can see things as I saw them that day I took the photo. I take pride maintaining the integrity of my photos and not adding things in Photoshop that were never there to begin with. Thanks for taking the time to look at my photos and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
