  What computer shops or technology-savvy gurus do you recommend locally for data recovery off an external hard drive for price/value/skill/honesty? The very small local nonprofit with which I volunteer had their external hard drive fail on them (it's no longer recognized by the computer). We need to recover the data, if at all possible, asap as some of those files aren't backed up elsewhere and needed for upcoming local programs. Who do you recommend and why?

  Hi...the charger cord on my 5/6 year old Toshiba laptop has finally refused to be jiggled into a connection . I was told by the computer shop that it needed to be welded, but it would be too expensive. Any ideas? Either someone who doesn't have shop overhead expenses that could do it, or a gum and duct tape fix. It still works great, but if I have to put too much $$$ into it, I might as well get a new one. Dog just jumped on my expensive wireless keyboard, and now the cover of the "t" key is missing and I can't find it anywhere. Picture below, it looks like something that can be fixed-- it actually still works if I press the rubber knob that was below the now-missing plastic key cover.
