  Has anyone had to get a finished addition, basement remodel or conversion of some kind permitted for their clients? Who do you know when it comes to permitting remodeling, electrical, plumbing and construction work after the fact? I've had this come up a few times in the last year and it's interesting with more sellers hitting the market the things they have done to their homes and not necessarily followed protocol. Your input, experience with this and help is very much appreciated.

  I have gone back to resolve unpermitted work (not performed by us) for clients in the past . Most of the time the building official will determine how far that work will have to be opened up for inspection.
