About us
For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for Makeup and Hair. From when I was a little girl sitting behind my Great Grandmother and cutting her hair with plastic scissors while she was sleeping on the couch, to growing up and doing dancing competitions being excited to wear false lashes and winged liner as far as the audience in the back row can see.
In 2007 I began my one year Makeup Diploma Course at Victoria University which covered all aspects of Makeup and Hair styling. For once in my life I was excited to learn. I studied Bridal, Fashion, Drag, Special Effects, Natural, Heavy, Day to Night, Decades of Makeup Trends, Skincare, Brow Shaping, Airbrush Makeup, Highlighting, Contour, Correcting Imperfections, Choosing Colour, Wig Making, Blow waving, Decades of Hair Trends, and the list goes on.
I decided to push my skills further once I received my diploma and in 2008 I began my career in Hairdressing. Eager to learn, in my first year I was blow waving, styling, tinting, foiling and toning in the salon. By end of my second year I was cutting hair and had a clientele base. My third year I was doing everything a qualified hairdresser would do and also attend as many courses as I could to keep my skills up-to-date. With Three years of hard work, bad pay and schooling for my apprenticeship, I was a fully qualified hairdresser in 2011.
In 2013 I was given an opportunity to work on my own and be my own boss in a salon. Knowing these opportunities don't come very often, I decided to take a chance on myself and give it a try; which leads to me where I am today. Taking that chance was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have a lot of friends/family/clients who support me in my journey and who believed in me from the very first day. I have grown as a Makeup Artist and now offer Private Makeup Lessons so I can teach my skills to the person who struggles with Skincare and Makeup Application. I also love that people choose me to be part of their wedding... show more day (or any special occasion) and have me glam them up with Makeup and Hair Styling.
Lastly, unlike a lot of stylists out there, I keep up to date with new trends and looks. I have done a refresher Makeup Course with Christina Sikalias, one of social media’s most popular Makeup Artists, as well as Hair Styling Courses with Natalie Anne, Sydney's Number One Hair Stylist, and Colour Courses with Wella and Keune.
My journey in this industry has been over 10 years long. Makeup and Hair is still my life, my passion and my career.
