  I need recommendations for a really awesome Vet in the South Nashville, Hermitage, Mt J area. Notice how I didn't say "affordable". I want the best and I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I don't think the Vet I've been taking my pup to is aggressive enough.

  Hi! I’m looking for a Vet for my cat! She’s up to date with all shots but she’s been lethargic and not eating so it’s time to take her in...,my problem is that she is VERY naughty at the Vet, like it was hard for her old Dr to even exam her bc she’s very nervous and fearful. She had a tough time starting out. Is there anyone around especially good with 6lb attitude problems? Or does anyone have any advice on how to calm her? I’ve tried pheromone sprays and it helps but she still draws blood but she needs to get checked! Also, like most humans I work M-F 7-6 so any after hours or weekend availability would be a bonus!!!   We recently changed to Lakeside Animal Hospital, on Dodson Chapel Road. Dr. Ollie was great, and her staff/techs phenomenal, too. We moved after over 10 yrs at another vet and it was the best decision. My dog has been very tough at the vet previously and he was handled and much less anxious at Lakeside. And they really showed care. He's a 17 lb terrier and his last vet said they'd be charging 20.00 extra due to him being so tough for a nail trim, saying it took a vet and 2 techs to hold him. 😒. After that we were done. He did fine with only one tech and was calm at Lakeside. We are very happy there, and my dog is healthier there. Highly recommend.

  Hi! I'm from Nashville but will be new to Donelson (we close on our house in Merry Oaks tomorrow!) and we're looking for a great veterinarian in the area. Ideally I'd like to find a really collaborative (rather than rotely prescriptive) vet who takes the time to explain a given situation and propose a course of action. We've seen a couple of nice vets, but I always felt like my questions were dismissed and I never felt like I had all the information or any real options in the care my dog received. My dog is ordinarily super happy and healthy, but recently came down with a bad GI infection, so finding good care for her is top of mind lately. Thanks for any leads!
